"The Mountains Sing," by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai

This was the best book that I have read in a very long time. It was a beautifully written story that needed to be told, and that needs to be read far and wide. It expanded my knowledge of the Vietnam War, and gave what I felt like was a very fair portrayal of what both North and South Vietnam must have experienced during that time period. It was also interesting to see how the seeds of Communism were sewn and grew in that particular country. I highly recommend this book!
