"A Cup of Dust," by Susie Finkbeiner

Five stars and going on my favorites list!! I absolutely loved this story, and immediately fell in love with Pearl and her family. Susie Finkbeiner brought each character to life so richly. Through Pearl’s eyes I was transported to the Dust Bowl, and could almost feel the grit in my teeth and pelting of dust on my skin. I learned so much about this time period through this rich and intense story. I am so thankful that I don’t have to say goodbye to Pearl yet since there are two more books in the series to look forward to!
