"The Lost Girls of Paris," by Pam Jenoff

I really struggled between giving this book 3 or 4 stars, but went with 4 because I found it to be a very enjoyable and engaging read! I, too, have read many a WWII novel, and I enjoyed this story about the female SOE agents and their appointed leader. In some ways this novel was really well written, and the author obviously did an amazing amount of research. However, where she lost me a bit was in the plausibility and motives of some of the characters. The romance in the chapters on the SOE was not fully developed, either. I do recommend, “The Lost Girls of Paris,” as a good read with something to be learned from the historical side of it, but I do wish the author had put in just a bit more to make this a book that I could really love.
