Sierra -

I had this book in my lineup to read for so long before I could convince myself (with a nudge from a friend!) to read it. Reading about child abuse is just hard, hard, hard. And yet, Ginny L. Yttrup does such a beautiful job navigating through the narrative of Kaylee’s experience in a way that neither diminishes what she went through, nor sensationalize it. This was a wonderful story of healing, redemption and love.
